Contrasting black and white water crystals in wine glasses

Instructions

1. Open the crystal bead packets and place a few beads to the side in a safe dry place. These beads can be used later to soak up water at the bottom of decorations.
2. Fill two containers with roughly 1 liter of water and place the white and black water crystal beads in these containers. Keep the colors separate to avoid sorting them later.
3. Soak the beads for 12 hours. The beads will absorb the water and slowly expand, see water crystal expansion in water for an illustration.
4. Rinse the remaining water out and allow the beads to dry. The beads are rather slippery and bouncy, and are softer and easier damage, so take care handling them.
5. Place the beads into a glasses using contrasting patterns. The few dry beads placed aside above can be placed in the bottom of the glasses to help soak up excess water.
